This Certificate of Competency allows the holder to skipper yachts up to 24m in length and to be Chief Mate on vessels of up to 500 tonnes within 60 miles of a safe haven overseas.
Qualification:
The successful candidate will receive:
- RYA Yachtmaster Coastal Shorebased Certificate
- STCW Competence in Fire-fighting and Fire Prevention Certificate
- STCW Personal Survival Techniques Certificate
- STCW Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities Certificate
- STCW Competence in Elementary First Aid
- MNZ Certificate of STCW Basic Training
- Restricted Radar Observer's Certificate (for the 6 week course only)
- Maritime Restricted Operator's Certificate
- RYA/MCA Coastal Skipper Certificate of Competency. Issued to successful candidates by the RYA of Southampton, UK.
