The Health & Safety in Employment Act requires every company to have at least one First Aid trained staff member for every 25 employees (for every shift). Once gained a First Aid Certificate must be refreshed every 2 years.
Mahurangi Technical Institute offer the 2 day First Aid Certificate, 1 day refresher course and also a 1/2 day CPR course.
First Aid & First Aid Refresher Courses
Those completing the 2 day First Aid course will learn to assess emergency situations and recognize common medical conditions.
Students completing the 1/2 day CPR course will gain the confidence to perform CPR and reassure casualties.
