To become an approved implanter you will be required to witness two microchip implantations and successfully complete two microchip implantations while being observed by an assessor.
On successful completion you will receive the MTI Certificate in Microchipping Companion Animals. (Renewable every two years).
The New Zealand Companion Animal Register will accord any Mahurangi Technical Institute microchipping graduate, who registers as an implanter, full implanter status. Please click here for further information.
